Cocoon - On my way

Today, I'm going to talk to you about Cocoon a French popfolk group, composed by Morgane Imbeaud and Mark Daumail, that really deserves to be known abroad.

Their voices mix perfectly together accompagnied by a ukulele. With their songs the duo creates their own dream-like world, bathed in melancholy for some, more joyful in others. Each one of their songs that are on their first album "My friends all died in a plane crash" is a gem in itself making it hard to have a favorite (Cliffhanger maybe?).

This group from Clermont-Ferrand got famous a few months ago after being noticed by the Inrockuptibles (a famous magazine about music). Success arrived pretty quickly after that. The fact that all their songs are in english could be an asset for them to try and conquer the international scene.

Il n'est plus utile de présenter ce groupe de Clermont-Ferrand qui crève l'écran depuis quelques mois avec leur album magnifique "My friends all died in a plane crash". Vous avez sûrement entendu pour la première fois une de leurs chansons à la télévision (pub Taillefine et Volkswagen Eos Coupé Cabriolet). Depuis leur albume fait un carton. Normal, il est génial!

Enfin bref, ne gardons pas Cocoon pour nous... Ils méritent d'être connus à l'international (le fait que leurs chansons soient en anglais n'est pas négligeable). D'où cet article. Je sais que ce n'est pas ça qui va influencer grandement les choses pour eux. Mais au moins ceux qui passent dans le coin pourront les découvrir et s'en mettre plein les oreilles... :)
